Note: English translation follows below!

Het is mogelijk om iSketch te spelen op een linux computer!

Ik heb het getest met de volgende software:
- Ubuntu 6.10
- Wine 0.9.33
- Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.9 (for windows :wink:

)
- Adobe Shockwave 10.1.4.020 (for windows)

en hardware (dit is echt het minimum):
- 1 GHz P3
- 512 MB RAM
- 64 MB Geforce4 440 MX

Short how-to
Stap 1.
Je zorgt ervoor dat je een computer hebt met Ubuntu 6.10 geïnstalleerd.

Stap 2.
Je installeert wine (http://www.winehq.com/) handmatig of met Synaptic:

# Eerst desources.list aanpassen, regel toevoegen:
deb http://wine.budgetdedicated.com/apt edgy main

Stap 3.
Software downloaden:
- download Mozilla Firefox 1.5.0.9 voor Windows ( www.mozilla.com )
- download Adobe Shockwave voor Windows ( http://www.isketch.be/berichten.php?subjectid=1956&page=1#21356 )

Stap 4.
Software installeren:

wine firefox_setup.exe
# Volg de instructies.

wine shockwave_setup.exe
# Volg de instructies. ATTENTIE: wees er zeker van dat je later de triggerpage bezoekt (copy link).

Stap 5.
Start firefox:

# Afhankelijk waar je firefox geïnstalleerd hebt:
wine ~/.wine/drive_C/Program Files/Firefox/firefox.exe

Surf eerst naar de triggerpage en surf dan naar http://www.isketch.net/isketch.shtml

Stap 6 (optioneel).
Mocht je ontdekken dat je computer heel traag is en iSketch ook traag is dan heb je waarschijnlijk geen hardware acceleratie. Deze site met how-to's kan je aanhouden (zowel NVIDIA als Ati video kaarten):

# Follow the instructions. ATTENTION: Make sure you visit later (copy link) the triggerpage which is launched.

Step 5.
Start firefox:

wine ~/.wine/drive_C/Program Files/Firefox/firefox.exe

First visit the triggerpage and then browse to http://www.isketch.net/isketch.shtml

Stap 6 (optional).
You may discover your computer is very slow and especially playing iSketch. Most likely is that hardware acceleration isn't turned on yet. Here is a site with how-to's which you can follow (both NVIDIA and Ati graphic cards):

fryk Lid sinds: 22 May 2006	en hardware (dit is echt het minimum): - 1 GHz P3 - 512 MB RAM - 64 MB Geforce4 440 MX Het kan met minder :). Ik speelde wel eens isketch onder wine met 256 MB geheugen en een geforce 3.

Gert Lid sinds: 23 Jun 2003	Today I've tested iSketch with the brand new Kubuntu 7.10 including WINE 0.9.47 installed (and of course the latest Mozilla Firefox 2.0.0.8 (for Windows ) and the latest Adobe Shockwave 10.2.0.023 (for Windows ).
